My dear God,

I received a wonderful invitation on Saturday to give a gift to my son in faith who will be traveling to Africa to teach at a local seminary, to visit Aids patients, to install natural lighting for shanties in the slums and to share the love of Christ for His own people. How proud I am of this child in faith.

I love this young man, now a pastor in Indianapolis. I remember his encounter with you in the eighth grade. I recall his face, deep in thought, perplexed, wondering, his heart captured by you. Twenty five years later he carries your heart to others.

Some gifts seem to grow and multiply over the years. I don't know how it happens. I just know it does. A tiny seed took root in Robbie and has grown into a mighty oak. As he makes his trek to Africa, he will carry tiny seedlings of faith to hungry souls. My God, what joy fills my own soul!

Bless, O God,
your man
of faith, Robbie.
Use him mightily
for your work
of hope,
grace and love.
Touch, I pray,
all those
he touches
in Africa.
Let your light
that shines
so brightly
in his eyes
break down
every darkness
that exists.
May joy spread
around the globe,
I pray.

Love, Andrea
