Dear God,
A rainy morning on the road from Maine to Indiana lead me to play the CD that was made live at the Cathedral of the Angels on February 14, 2010. What began as a listening to music became a worship service for Harold and me. As he drove I would read the lyrics before the song and then as I drove he read them to me punctuating the messages being sung. Tears pooled in our eyes as we sang, remembered, quietly prayed, and rejoiced.
Music has been a significant part of our 25th summer together. I have sung in two great festivals, Harold lead a prayer in one of them and we attended an organ concert. In each of them memories of precious people from our past, favorite songs and faith experiences came to us causing us to grow in our faith together, to celebrate with one another and to enrich and deepen our love for you and one another.
Using music as one medium, you have fulfilled a dream and prayer for me as I sought to build a better and deeper life with my husband. As I have been in the middle of it and observed it while happening, I have been so happy. I have felt so rich and full. Knowing that you initiated this glorious transforming process, the bottom of my well of living water has deepened leaving me with room for more praise and thanksgiving.
I sing out
your praise,
Wondrous God;
I sing out
your praise.
For you are
our living God,
full of love
for your people.
I sing out
your song,
O Lord;
for there is
no song
like yours.
Love, Andrea
