Dear God,
Looking for you each day is one of my life's greatest joys. Being aware of your presence, searching for manifestations of your spirit, and accepting the challenges you lay before me make me constantly aware of your nearness. Like the psalmist I too can say, "Where can I go that you are not there? If I go among the dead you are there. If I rise to the heavens, you are there."
In the last few weeks I have seen your loving presence in my grandchildren. When they pray and say thank you, I see your face. When they are giving, willing to share something they possess or just say I love you, I sense you near. When they are questing for something of your spirit, I hear your voice.
Every night as we read a chapter or two of "Heaven is for Real", I see in their eyes the mystery of the universe. I see a hunger for eternity, a thirst for something deeper than IPOD's, toys, dolls, computers, and television. I see the seed of your spirit within them. Faith stares back at me as we read and share.
As I make my daily pilgrimage for the sacred, I never have to go far.
Eternal God,
I know
you are near.
Your love
leads me
to places
of blessing,
joy, peace,
harmony, and beauty.
Thank you.
Love, Andrea
