Dearest God,

I sit at the kitchen table beside the window looking out and listening to the gentle rain as it falls. It's going to be one of those no-hurry days. I may iron, design a pillow, make salsa, straighten up my "art" room in the dining room or I may just read and pray (which I do whatever I am doing). Although gray and overcast, it's already a perfect day!

And so I put on Susan Boyle's CD to listen to "Perfect Day". A perfect day is one spent with you. Whatever my condition or circumstance, every day is a perfect day with you. My troubles, worries, and cares get put into your hands to hold for the day. I listen carefree taking in your loving presence. Every cell in my body reaches out, opens up, absorbing the gifts of your spirit...peace, harmony, balance, hope, faith, and love in great doses. Although today I have no particular problems to give to you and the day is already a joy, the exercise of stepping into eternity's hope quietly explodes within me.

Every day when I engage in your will for my life, I am strengthened, cleansed, and filled with your grace. Veils are lifted, obstacles removed, and paths are clearly marked. As I pilgrim, making my journey toward your destination, the sights and sounds of heaven are all around me. As the sun sets on my day, my heart is filled with so much praise that I fall asleep in your arms.

Glory and joy
be to you,
Blessed God;
for surely
you are touching
my day
with your
peace and
quiet joy.
My heart
overflows with love
for you.

Yours forever, Andrea
