Dear God,

Faith awakens me each morning.  When I begin to stir, I know I have been held in the night.  I feel your arms around me.  When I fully awaken and look outside my bedroom window, feel the gentle Maine breeze, and look at my sleeping husband beside me, I know I am blessed.

All throughout the day I recognize the value and benefit of faith.  I know I am personally related to the God of the cosmos, to you, my God.  I eat the fruits of your labor; I laugh because I am freed up from every stress that would lay me down; I lift up family and friends in prayer because I believe you hear my concerns and place them on my heart.

As I crawl into my bed at night weary from my day's work, I feel the comfort of knowing I have been loved all day long by you and by loved ones.  I count my blessings and give thanks for faith that keeps me focused.  I am grateful, so very grateful.

Merciful God,
thank you
for faith
and all
its benefits.
Thank you
for sight
to see
your living presence.
Thank you
for love
that welcomes it.
Thank you
to you,
Most Gracious God,
for every gift
and blessing
and the ability
to notice.
