Dear God,

Today I picked up garden debris for two hours, stalks, weeds, leaves, thistles, and more.  I raked, weeded, and pulled unwanted something or others.  I do have thistle stems sticking up waiting to be sprayed but my garden is beginning to look like my garden again.

Ugly debris is just that, ugly.  And so is spiritual debris like worry, anxiety, resentment, jealousy, fear, anger, and arrogance.  They are just as ugly if not more so.  A pile of unnecessary spiritual debris can take away the beauty of the human soul and spirit.  It can weigh it down and pull it apart.  But when we allow more faith in, those things can be dismantled bit by bit returning beauty to its owner.

Daily creation teaches life lessons if we are watchful and listen.  We are enabled to see heaven speaking giving us opportunities for growth, goodness, and grace.  Today I got just that!

Thank you,
O Lord,
for teaching us
lessons of faith.
Direct our eyes
to heaven
where life lessons
can change us
for good.

Love, Andrea
