Dearest God,
We sat in our chairs just as the service began. It was a first for us to worship with Mennonites and what a beautiful service it was. Your Holy Spirit moved us mightily and we loved it. At times we were both moved to tears by the goodness of God to make our way among these peace and justice people.
Although at times I can't see beyond the end of my nose, you seem to want to stretch me beyond where I am to a place where you want me to be. Forever willing, forever growing, forever transforming, you lead me to still waters and cause me to look into the quiet pool to reflect upon life, its issues and challenges, and the ways you want me to live out my faith. You gently remind me to consider your ways and not be satisfied and sedate but rather to be lively and full of devotion.
Today I breathed a new air and found it a beautiful experience!
Holy God,
full of surprises,
thank you
for your kindness,
for your leading,
for your hope,
and your love.
I am so very grateful!
Love, Andrea
