Dear God,

When we are open, truly open to you, you come to us with power from on high.  In those moments of surrender, you open doors and help us see what was blocked from our vision.  At that precipitous moment you place tools in our hands, instruments of perspective, knowledge, and discernment.  You guide us toward resolution giving us hope to do the work we need to do.

A couple asked if they could come visit with my husband and me.  They poured out their hearts telling us how God was revealing new truths to them.  Before that they had declared their home a "war zone" where they armored themselves up with weapons to fight the minute either came in their presence.  There was so much tension and stress in their home, it was palpable.  Before the weekend they had both decided to call it quits.  But one invited the other to sit down and talk.  Beginning with prayer together and with prayer warriors praying from a distance they began to talk to find out where things started going wrong.  They commenced a conversation by baring themselves to one another.  They asked questions and answered each other truthfully.  Although the long dialogue was at times extremely painful, they both felt they were truly being heard.  They cleared the air of all weapons and embarked on a journey of discovery, connecting the dots to their own brokenness and how they had contributed to the brokenness of the other.  Nearly 72 hours later they came to us asking for help in one particular area.  We were both astonished by the maturity, love, openness, and compassion they shared, each one at times holding the hand of the other as they shared deeply from their souls.  By the time they left they had a new-found hope, a radiance, and a commitment to start the hard work with professionals.  The best part of all, and we all knew it, you were visibly apparent the whole time,
