Dear God,

Mercy, compassion, and forgiveness work every time if only for the one who practices it.  As I watch your spirit work and as I listen and follow your will, I discover the grace in paying attention to your word.

Although at times I resist your efforts on my behalf, this morning I did as you asked.  I followed your asking and the air was cleared.  I even found your light as we left home and traveled toward Indiana.  By the end of the day I realized the value and depth of grace and I was grateful.
