Dear God,
Amidst the magnificent colored rolling mountains of Pennsylvania, we had church. Reminded that worship is important even on the road home, my husband read a couple of devotions and together we sang, "Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine. O what a foretaste of glory divine, heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his spirit, washed in his blood. This is my story, this is my song, praising my savior all the day long. This is my story, this is my song, praising my savior all the day long."
Although we all sing uniquely, lyrics, harmonies, and melodies, still we sing your song when we sing with faith. You lift up our hearts. You raise our eyes to heaven. You inspire us to deepen our love for you and one another. You challenge us to move from where we are to where you want us to be and as we sing you sing right back.
Eternal God,
your love
never ends.
Thank you
for your song
and the gift
that we can
all sing together.
Mold us
and make us,
O Lord,
in your image.
Love, Andrea
