Dear God,
We fall at your feet when we feel helpless, desperate. We meet a lot of people there, hoping, praying, and pleading for their loved ones and themselves.
A children's hospital is filled with praying mothers, fathers, grandparents, and friends. They beg for safe surgeries, for riddance of cancerous tumors and complete healing. They ask for help to wait for long hours and to remain at the edge instead of tipping over and falling forever. They pray for comfort, peace, and above all, hope.
Because you are gentle and kind, tender-hearted and compassionate, we all come to you full of need and desire to change our situation. We come because we have no where else to go and because your love calls us, deep and abiding love that wants to hold each of us, to murmur encouragement, and to strengthen faith and courage for the living of each day.
There at your feet we found solace as we left eight-year-old Gracie in your hands.
Heavenly Father,
there is
no comfort
like yours.
There is
no peace
like yours.
There is
no hope
like yours.
Thank you
for inviting us in
and allowing us
to remain
at your feet.
Love, Andrea
