Dear God,
Your spirit joy flows like a fountain in my home. Five of my grandchildren have come together in such a beautiful way after months of estrangement. Their hearts are open, their minds are open, and their spirits are blessing you and one another.
Although I have witnessed your mighty movement in human history numerous times, I am still wowed by your work, your compassion, and your love. Who can deny your insight and wisdom, your power and kindness, and your mercy and forgiveness? These days I am watching it unfold right here in my home.
We are so easily distracted, O Lord. We get caught up in so very many things that we forget faith and its transforming power. We forget clear vision is possible when we are blinded by obstacles often of our own making. We forget you came to save us from ourselves. We forget light comes even in darkness. We forget love is greater than fear. We forget your presence. We forget you.
What celebration is possible when we reunite with you and one another! When we realize we've taken a hike into the far country and we turn to you, our spirits soar, our heart is warmed, and our joy is full. My grandchildren and I are playing in your spirit fountain!
Thank you,
Ever-Powerful God,
for your grace.
Thank you
for your merciful
"welcome home."
Thank you
for hope,
prayer, determination,
surrender, and forgiveness.
There is no God like you!
Love, Andrea
