Dear God,

Eternity's love goes on and on and on.  When we have been loved by you, when we have felt your divine embrace, when we have experienced your living presence, we know that kind of love never dies.  It exists forever blessing each and every one.

There is no love like yours.  So often we long for love that is authentic and long-lasting.  We want love that will hold us when we are down and celebrate with us when we are out-of-the-rafters.  We want love that will greet us tomorrow while reveling in it today.

But what about us?  How much do we love you?  How do we show you our devotion?  How do we express our love and appreciation?  How do we love back and forward to others?

In our instant-gratification world, we seem to want what we can get for ourselves and fail to return love or to move it forward.  We forget love that is eternal is a rare gift, one to be cherished and shared.

As we pause to consider the many ways you love us, help us realize our need to grow in our love, share our love, and function as loved people.

O Lord.
Thank you
for loving us
when we
are sad
or bad.
Thank you
for spiritual awareness
that reminds us
love can't
be possessed
or it
can dissolve
before our eyes.
Love is
only love
when we
share it
with the world.
Teach us
the way
of love,
we pray.
