Dear God,

So often we judge life by good or bad, positive or negative.  Such narrow thoughts lead us to trouble.

Every day is a gift, an opportunity for learning, for testing and trusting,  In our covenant group discussion yesterday, we talked about this life judgment.  I found myself guilty.  My spiritual friends stretched my mind and helped me see differently.  Later my friend sent me an excerpt from a book entitled, "Jesus Calling."  The author's words helped stretch me further.  "Do not let any circumstances intimidate you.  The more challenging your day, the more of my power I place at your disposal.  The degree to which I strengthen you on a given day is based mainly on two variables:  the difficulty of your circumstances, and your willingness to depend on me for help."

The gift of these words and the words of my colleagues reminded me to be aware each day, to drink in daily strength, to realize daily blessings, to trust God, and to live in gratitude.  Beginning each day with this awareness, carrying it all day long, and retiring with it to my bed every evening can change my life and everyone else's.

Yesterday
you came
to me
through spiritual friends.
They were
your voice,
your compassion,
and your challenge.
I am grateful.

Love always, Andrea
