Dear God,

They told the story again today, the story of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus.  That story is an old, old story but a fresh, new story every time I hear it.  Mary, Joseph, a baby, a stable, a manger.  I never get tired hearing the wondrous story of Christmas.

Because you are a living God, we love to hear stories about you.  We love to listen to stories of healing, compassion, love, friendship, and grace.  We love to sit at your feet, to look into your face, and dwell with you.  We have faith because of you.  We live lives that are full with you.  Yes, we want to hear your stories, again and again and again.

Tell us
the stories
of faith,
O God;
tell us
the stories
of Jesus.
Thank you
for faith
that helps us hear
the stories
like they
are happening
right now.
Thank you
for placing us
in the stable
at the manger.
Thank you,
Wondrous God,
for the gift,
the gifts,
the many gifts
you give us.
Blessed are you,
Lord;
blessed are you.

Love, Andrea
