Dear God,

Spiritual friends, those special people who inspire us to dig deep into the well of faith, are truly gifts from heaven.  When my covenant group and their spouses sat around our festive winter table, candles glowing, frosties smiling, and Christmas music playing, we spoke of your wondrous spirit.  We recalled precious moments with you at Christmas long ago.  We shared from the depths of our spirit because there you dwell within.

The gift of love and friendship we offer one another is something to behold.  We all believe and know you brought us together nearly 30 years ago.  You wove our spirits and hearts together.  You called us as individuals and as a group to climb the heights of faith.  You called us to accountability, to live up to heaven's standards, to reach and grow, and to surrender and trust.  You gave us the capacity to be vulnerable and to share in ways we share with no other.  You made us your own.

Today we counted our blessings as we prayed together, laughed, and sang the song of our faith.
