Dearest God,

Only you can heal a broken heart.  Only you can bring people together.  Only you can make a relationship new!

Our family has experienced so much brokenness.  We have been laid low with sorrow and grief but it has brought us to our knees in prayer.  We have trusted you and tried to do what you have asked of us.  At the same time you have shown us to be patient, to lean on you, to forgive, to be merciful, and to take one day at a time.

We were so surprised when a family member asked to visit us.  We had planned to leave for Indiana but you delayed us so we could accommodate the request.  In so doing we made plans to follow your lead.  He will arrive tomorrow, yet, another miracle of your making.
