Dear God,

On Sunday mornings we gather in worship for adjustment.  We go to shift our thinking.  We place ourselves on the chopping block to have our sin, sorry attitudes, and poor behaviors gently cut away.  We go to your house so that we may be made new.

Perfection is not your desire; your prayer is that we come to you.  When we attempt to become perfect we forget who has made us.  Our perfection becomes our goal rather than our relationship with you.  We get sidetracked, diverted from our mission to walk with you on the road toward peace and hope.  You want an open heart, open mind, and open soul.

As we enter your home to sing and pray, we find ourselves humbled by overwhelming love.  We listen to the good news of your compassion and challenge.  You reach out to us, offering us the hope of transformation.

Blessed Lord,
who could
possibly want more?
Your love
is eternal.
You offer it
to us.
We too
are blessed.

Love, Andrea
