Dear God,

You speak to us, Lord.  You whisper inspiration that motivates us toward faith and action. 

In my devotions I am reading Pope Francis - Why He Leads the Way He Leads.  You spoke to him on September 21 at the age of 17. You inspired him to leave some friends for a moment to step inside a church to make a confession.  There his whole life was redirected by you.  Inspiration, you inspired him, transformed him.  I am also reading the Bible.  There the stories are told of John the Baptist and Jesus' encounter with others.  Inspiration, you inspired people to trust the man Jesus and they were healed, called.  I am reading Then Sings My Soul where you spoke to men and women who penned hymns.  Inspiration, you inspired them to write, to bring together lyrics and tunes and because of it millions are inspired to faith, hope, and peace.

You speak to us Lord.  Help us listen so we, too, inspired, will motivate others to faith.

countless gifts
you offer.
Inspiration, you
inspire us,
dear God,
you inspire us
to faith,
joy, and gratitude.
Open our ears
to hear you
every time.
Move us
to faith
and action,
to touch,
inspire, and help others
in your name.
