Dear God,

The gifts of Lent are many. You give us Lent in the springtime where it seems everything around us reminds us to grow, to surrender, and to trust.  You speak your word, the stories of old that teach us faith and courage.  You sing to us such beautiful songs that tell us of you, your faithfulness, and wondrous grace.  You point to our weakness and show us how to become strong.  You prove your love to us once again.

When we live daily lives of faith, we are always awestruck by what we see and hear, taste, and touch. The simplest things can tell us a story of you.  How blessed we are when we acknowledge your presence in our lives.  Your living presence opens doors to us, doors that lead to amazing events and happenings.  We find beauty and wonder, healing and wholeness, joy and peace.

thank you
for faith
that always
leads us
to you.
Thank you
for the blessing
of Lent.
Keep our feet
planted on
the pilgrim road,
we pray.
