Dear God,

Who can complain about spring?  Who cannot see the way nature challenges us to grow?  Who cannot hear God in a bird song?

As I look out upon green day lily leaves pushing up through the ground, I think of you.  It is you who put power in the seed, the bulb, the root.  You give them strength to push against a crusty soil with leaves and debris from last fall.  You make them beautiful against the backdrop of gray and brown, of that which looks dead.  You provide a sense of anticipation that something is happening, changing, and will bring color and joy.

Spring is just one more reason for faith.

Blessed God,
thank you
for the
living experience
of spring time.
Thank you
for growth
and transformation.
Thank you
for hope
against all odds.

Love, Andrea
