Dear God,

The storms raged through our town, winds at 75 mph, rains pouring down, and lightning striking almost constantly.  It was frightening to watch the trees blow from side to side.  At the end, there was debris left behind.

As I surveyed the mess, I thought about the storms of life, how they bend us over and toss us about.  For a while we too lose our bearings and feel out of control.  Parts of our self feel lost and broken.  Yet, like the passing storm the sun shines again.  We pick up the pieces and you help us start again.

Gracious God,
thank you
for nature's lessons.
Thank you
for teaching us
every day.
Thank you
for reminding us
to let go
of the mess
and start over.

Love, Andrea
