Dear God,

Although we may feel life will not change, you surprise us by making transformation possible.  You let us know nothing is impossible with you. 

Months ago I realized I was really missing my family, not just my children and grandchildren but all my family, cousins, aunts, and others.  What I did not know was how you would open doors to family in a whole new way.  The last few weeks I have been with more family than I have for many years.  You simply brought us together.  Yes, there was pain from shared loss but we still drew together.  We found comfort in the company of one another.  We even acknowledged how much we needed each other.  We planned additional gatherings, hugged one another and silently breathed our prayers of thanksgiving.

Blessed Lord,
you give us
our heart's desire.
You open doors
to hope.
You clear
the path
for reunion.
