Dear God,

Today is the last day of this year.  Today.  As I look backward, I see the many times you gave me the privilege of walking with you, the many ways you infused me with hope, and the many blessings you gave me.  All this year.

I also look at the countless times I failed, hurt or disappointed others, and did not follow your will.  I am sorry, O God.  I forfeited opportunities to grow, to increase my faith, and to bless others.  I could have been different, even transformed.  Forgive me, please.

Help me surrender these past 365 days to you, Father.  Assist me in becoming new.  Aid me in beginning the new year with a new heart, a new resolve, and a new will.

Holy God,
you are
the power
of faith.
Teach me
like a
little child
to trust
and follow.
Inspire me
to let go
so I
can take hold.
