Dear God,
The snow fell gently to the ground as I drove northward for Christmas with my oldest daughter Janice. Happy thoughts swirled in my mind as I reflected upon your goodness in our lives. I remember when Janice and I were estranged, so far apart; yet, in your mercy, we came back together again. Today we would eat together, have a prayer, and share gifts. All this was possible because of you.
Truly you are healer, comforter, teacher, helper, and guide. When our lives diverge so far from your path, you aid us in finding our way back. You assist us in reconstituting ourselves so we are freed up to change, to be transformed by your hand.
As we shared together as a family today and rose to leave, gifts in hand, I marveled at your grace to give us the gift of reconciliation.
Holy God,
giver of all good gifts,
thank you
for the gift
of reconciliation.
Thank you
for unending mercy.
Thank you
for the
wondrous blessing
of healing.
Love, Andrea
