Dear God,
Why is it when we want to do something for you, we can't see beyond the obstacles? Why do we get stuck and can't go any further? We all do it. Red flags start waving and bells start ringing. Don't do it, a voice cries out, don't do it! Yet, we hear the still small voice urging us on.
My friend and I heard the call and we had been working on an idea. We got excited because we could imagine how it could unfold. Our enthusiasm increased the closer we got to making the proposal. But the closer we got the more anxious we became because we began to see obstacles, not little ones we could step over but big ones that could roll over and crush the idea.
Today we sat down with our pastor and shared our thoughts. Where we thought there were obstacles to be overcome, they were not present at all. Not even a blip. We had needlessly worried. We had not trusted you enough to be confident and unafraid.
Forgive us,
Lord,
when we
see trouble coming
where there
is none.
Forgive our
foolish ways.
Teach us
to trust
again and again
and again.
Love, Andrea
