Dear God,
It is in silence where I hear your voice most profound. When I quiet my own soul and turn off everything else around me, I can almost detect your heartbeat. There can be singing in the silence, poetry and rhyme. It is almost always your voice I hear.
I love the sound of silence. I used to be afraid. I used to turn on the radio or television just to fill the open space. Somehow I thought scary monsters were in the silence and they were out to get me. Crazy, I know; however, there is truth in it. But one day, one glorious day, you invited me in to a new place, a place where your spirit dwells and there I walked the holy halls here you live. Every since then I take every chance I get to wander with you in the silence place.
Holy God,
you are
a wonder
to me.
Thank you
for the
awesome opportunity
to dwell
with you.
Thank you
for open doors
and open windows,
all openings
to you.
Love, Andrea
