Dear God,
The psalmist always seems to know where I am. I begin each morning with the psalmist, the writer of the Psalms. When he speaks of the need for refuge and shelter, aahh, I say, he knows what I need. When he shares his praise for your mighty works, I cry out my own praise and thanksgiving. When he writes about his lackings, I fall to my own knees in need of prayer, challenge, and forgiveness. I read the Psalms because I feel close to this person of faith.
How grateful I am to you, Master of the Universe, for calling people to share their faith. Thank you
for the blessing they are in their honesty, authenticity and need. In them I find myself and like them, I turn to you for help. I confess and discover once again the greatness of your love, mercy and kindness. My faith increases, my sin decreases and my perspective changes.
You, O Lord,
are the author
of my faith.
Thank you
for those
who help me
see the truth
that sets me free.
Raise my eyes
to you
that I
may always
praise you.
Love, Andrea
