Dearest God,
How I loved driving away from our home this morning at 4:30 a.m. Headed to Maine I loved looking up, reveling in the dark night and the white light. Always enamored with the images, theology, and philosophy of light and darkness, I felt heaven bound.
As I drove on the highways, passing semis and people hurrying to work, I thought of some of the elements of light, spiritual light. I ruminated on light as warmth, as peace, as love, as beauty and as hope. I reflected upon the ways light grows faith and how that faith has the power to move me from my own darkness into the heavenly light. As I continued my drive eastward, I smiled, prayed, and gave thanks.
Gracious God,
Giver of All Light,
thank you
for blessings
early in
the morning.
Thank you
for reaching out
and touching
my soul.
I am
so blessed
to have you
in my life.
Love, Andrea
