Dear God,

You are always about the work of reconciliation.  You have made us to bend, to be flexible in your hands.  You want us to come together in ways that bring healing and hope.

Today I was invited to attend a baptism of two great grandchildren.  Although family squabbles had kept us apart at times today my husband and I were welcomed in.  He conducted the ceremony in a beautiful way.  Using several traditions he showed the way how we can be different and yet brought together for the purpose of faith.  Through his wonderful gift, we found ourselves drawn in to the center where you reside.

Thank you,
Holy God,
for the power
of your
Holy Spirit.
Thank you
for its
gentle, persuasive mercy.
Thank you
for blessing us
with faith today.

Love, Andrea
