Dear God,

During choir rehearsal we sang, "O God, there is none like you; there is none like you."  It's true there is no God like you, Almighty God.  Yet, why is it we search and cling to other gods believing they will somehow give us what we want?  Why do we reach out to money, prestige, power, control and celebrity status?  We know in our heart of hearts they will never ever give us what we want or need.

Only you, O God, know our needs and wants.  Only you can help us sift through our priorities, desires and passions.  Only you can lead us down paths of goodness, humility, love, mercy and service.  Only you can provide what we need most:  kindness, hope, love, grace and wisdom.

There is no God like you, Hope of the World, none.

for faith
that informs
our lives.
Thank you
for spirit awareness
that keeps us
on our
spiritual toes.
Thank you
for discernment
that shows us
the difference
between God
and gods.
