Dear God,

From the beginning you offer transformation, new beginnings for creation and creatures alike.  You offer change, a shift, an alteration.  You offer a new look, an authentic clearing of body, mind and soul.  What once was can be what is new.  All this is offered to us.

More than 10 years ago you invited me to be your working partner in a divine plan for a spiritual path.  You pointed the way.  "The opening to the spiritual path will be right there."  You said.  My eyes opened up and I saw it.  Although I had absolutely no plans for the tangled mess of a woods with cluttered debris from decades of dumping, you peaked my interest by calling my name.  How could I say no?  I wanted to take the first step with you.

Today as a professional crew of five scattered across the yard to cut down dead trees, prune others and clear out unwanted limbs, branches and whatnot, I realized the importance of surrender and the pruning process of life.  Without it we are stuck with the dead, the dying and the emotional, physical and spiritual debris of the past.  We are weighed down, burdened, too heavy to move.  But when the word whispered from above comes with a promise, everything can change.

Blessed are you,
Lord God of All Creation.
You bless
and then
bless again
and again
and again.
What would
we do
without you?
Transform, O God,
transform us.
Clear out
all debris;
leave nothing behind.
Make us new,
a beautiful image
for you.
