Dear God,
Your Holy Spirit breeze is present in every day living. When we are looking for a sign of you, we look to the heavens for a really big sign. Yet, at our feet and all around us are signs of your living, loving presence. And while we have our eyes in the sky, we are missing all the other signs.
Recently I picked Barlett pears from an orchard. A couple of days ago I canned those white beauties for winter usage. As I pulled each jar from the water canner, I thought of the countless ways you provide for us. Not only were these pears delicious then, they will provide tasty goodness this summer when the cold winds blow and snow is on the pumpkins. Although I prayed a prayer of thanksgiving for the pears when I plucked them from the trees and again when I preserved them, I will utter yet another prayer of praise when I enjoy the tasty morsels this winter. You are so good, Merciful God.
Thank you
for your
great kindness,
O God.
Thank you
for pears
and every fruit
and vegetable.
Thank you
for your
wondrous provision.
Love, Andrea
