Dear God,
I drove out of the driveway at 4:00 a.m. headed for home 1,000 miles away. All throughout the day in the silence you spoke. You made me aware of truck drivers carrying goods to every city. I prayed for them. You pointed me to hospitals and medical clinics where professional caregivers were doing what they do best...care for people. I prayed for them. You turned my head to the mountains where a sacred artist painted a broad stroke of dusty rose, the color of redbuds barely coming to life after a long winter's sleep. I prayed a prayer of thanksgiving. As I observed maintenance workers cleaning public restrooms, servers bringing food to customers in restaurants and hotel assistants giving directions, I prayed prayers of gratitude.
In silence your voice can be heard loud and clear. What an amazing drive with the creator of the cosmos!
Blessed are you,
Great God.
Thank you
for the blessings
you provide.
Thank you
for the drive.
I fell
in love
with you
all over again.
Love, Andrea
