Dear God,
You teach us life lessons every day. You invite us to pay attention, to watch and to anticipate. Today I watched the rain fall and I realized every drop of rain finds its roots to water. They go down deep into the soil to give life to plants, trees and shrubs. In response all living things stand taller as if to reach to heaven in thanksgiving.
The same is true for us, Living God; you feed us spiritual food and give us living water to reach the roots of our spirit. As we eat and drink we find nourishment and life-giving refreshment. We sit up as well acknowledging the source of our strength. We want to give praise too.
O God,
creator of
all good gifts,
thank you
for the rain.
Thank you
for spiritual food
and drink.
We are blessed daily
by you.
Please forgive us
when we fail
to give thanks.
You are God,
our all in all.
Love, Andrea
