Dearest God,

Who but you knew they were under there?  As we cut back, raked and cleared, there appeared the most beautiful moss, a variety of ferns, sedum, and unidentifiable wildflowers that had been hidden for decades by invasive plants gone wild.  Although they had been closed over by old Autumn leaves, sticks and nasty plants, they persevered to live.  Tears gathered as I sat and touched them.

Your surprises are always welcome, O Lord.  They teach us to trust you, to anticipate and to make ready for your will to unfold.  Today was full of them.

Blessed are you,
Most Holy God,
thank you
for all
you provide.
Thank you
for all
your gifts.
Thank you
for beautiful,
tenacious plants
that long
to live,
thrive and
be beautiful.
Thank you
for the
great reveal.

Love, Andrea
