Dear God,
"Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever." On spring days when I walk through the garden, I recognize once again your power, O God. These words from the Lord's Prayer reiterate your power on earth. We plant the seeds, water them and pull out their weeds, but only divine power makes them grow. Every time a new bud appears, a leaf unfolds and a blossom rises up, I celebrate your power to make all things grow.
That is the power we go to when we pray, O Lord. What is our prayer if not a request, sometimes even an urgent pleading for your help. We trust you will help us, if not answering the prayer as we hope, at least we find comfort as we pray and following.
I think you made spring time so we can be reminded of your power. I believe you painted your creation all colors and all textures so we could be directed to you.
Thank you,
Holy Father,
for all
the gifts
of springtime.
Thank you
for the call
of creation.
Thank you
for each
and every reminder!
Love, Andrea
