Dear God,

Every day you look to our conversion, conversion of the heart, mind or soul.  You wish a conversion of our mercy, love and faith.  You came that we might "become" from what we are to what we can be.  You are the source of our power to do so.

If I take a really hard, honest look at myself, it is so very clear how much transformation I need.  I confess I am weak, stubborn and resistant.  I am what I am because I have made myself this way.  But you offer me a way out, a way toward and a way in.  You open the door to faith, to change, to hope, to blessing and to wisdom.  We can because you are.

Thank you,
Gracious God,
for giving us opportunity
to be remade.
Forgive us
for hanging on
to old ways.
Make us new,
I pray.
