Dearest God,

You bring us together.  You give us family, some small, some very large.  You give us someone to count as sibling, friend or confidante.  Somehow some way something happens inside us and we begin to feel close and then closer.  One day seemingly we wake up and something called love for this family appears.

Today I felt that love once again with my daughter and granddaughter.  I whispered prayers of thanksgiving because love exists inside me for these two.  They share in my life every day.  I watched as my Charlie slipped into the world just 14 years ago.  I have loved her ever since.

There is no doubt these two came from you to me.  My heart swells and spills over with gratitude and love to you.
