Dearest God,

The days are changing.  The seasons are changing.  The world is changing.  For those who do not like or accept change have no choice but to change with the changing.

You taught me a lesson a long time ago.  Change is vital, valuable and necessary to live a meaningful life.  If we are unbending, then we grow rigid.  If we are stubborn, then we grow resentful.  If we put our feet in concrete, then we grow miserable.  Change is fluid and transformative.

This upcoming season is calling for change in me once again.  You are calling me to exchange pieces of my life for something better.

Holy God,
change me.
Reshape me
into something
that looks
and acts
more like you.
Take all
of me
and breathe
new life
into me,
I pray.
