Dearest God,

Today we heard from mayors from Pittsburgh, Parkland, El Paso and Dayton, all towns hit with mass shootings.  We had sent them a letter of remembrance telling them we would be reading their community name as well as scores of others at our Community Peace Gathering and Prayer Vigil on Wednesday, 9/11.  We wanted to send love, support and encouragement their way.

As I read each letter, I sensed your spirit in the midst of the writing.  I saw your handprint and felt your compassion spilled on each page as we sent letters and received communiques back.  Only through your divine love can such a thing be possible to touch others in the deepest way.

There is no doubt about it...you are God; there is none like you!

Loving God,
thank you
for making us
for each other.
Thank you
for your kindness.
Touch and heal
your people,
I pray.

Love, Andrea
