Dear God,
This morning while gazing upon the heavy laden snow with white lights twinkling on the patio, I hear the quiet call, "Peace, peace, peace." Peace, yes, at this moment there is peace here on Timber Lane. I drink it in, reveling in this awesome moment of peace.
But then my peace is broken because there is no peace in our world, neither in our country. Families and neighbors are at odds with one another over many things, particularly politics. How can I ultimately enjoy my peace when people far and wide have no peace?
Show us
the way
to peace,
Holy God,
make us peacemakers.
We cannot,
we must
not enjoy
our own peace
if we
do not work
for peace
for others.
Please, O Lord,
send your lamb
of peace
once again,
I pray.
Love, Andrea
