Dear God,

No one gives promises like you, Almighty God.  Long, long ago and just this morning you promised to be with us.  You know we don't like to ultimately be alone; we want someone who is reliable, trustworthy, means what he says, love through all, and is a beacon of light to us.  You are all that!

When I need mercy, I remember your many kindnesses to the precious people you walked on the earth with in biblical times.  I remember the leper, the woman at the well, the mother with a dying child, the blind, the lame, the broken.  You provided loving mercy to them all.

Each day as I wake, I think of you, your nearness, your love.  While you were promising to love all your children, you were also promising to love me.

Thank you
for the blessing
of your promises,
Holy Father.
Thank you
that you
can always
be counted on.
Thank you
for reminding us
not only
of your promises
but of you.

Love always, Andrea
