Dear God,

After a long time retired from preaching, I always feel vulnerable and insecure.  Yet, at the same time I know when you want me to speak on your behalf.  I only say yes when I sense your holy nudge.

Today was a remarkable day.  I felt a true holy presence welling up inside me.  Although I had read and prepared well for my part, I found you as close as my breath.  Preaching with only a 3 x 5 card with few words on it, I stepped forward and let your word fly.  Taking very little credit for my work, I knew that I knew that I knew it was your power and your message that came from my mouth.  The people responded as they opened themselves to you.

All things
we do
in your name
is a
holy endeavor.
When we
trust you
to help us
do your calling,
amazing things happen.
Today was
one of those.
