Dear God,
Troubles with my computer and Internet connection left me frustrated until now returning to Indiana where I could finally write once again. This "silent" time has been valuable because I have spent more time listening than talking.
Sometimes silence is called for particularly when you want to get our attention. If we are busy with other things and we are filled with things to say, you come in a gentle way to distract us and to turn our heads in another direction. Mine was the need to listen, to anticipate and to be watchful. This season of quiet in the midst of winter spirit has been a gift and I have been thankful.
Teach me
your ways,
O Holy One.
Let your ways
be my ways.
More than anything,
I want
to follow you,
be obedient
and grateful.
Love always, Andrea
