Dear God,

I watched as my granddaughter played 8th grade basketball.  Tourney time, I gazed at the teams running back and forth across the floor fighting for the ball and making baskets.  I thought about my granddaughter who has been playing since third grade.  Her goal is to play college ball and to eventually be a coach.

What a wonder it is to see the infinite number of ways you have made each of us!  My Lucy practices several days every week.  She is driven, driven to make excellent grades, to be a leader, to help others, to organize herself and to love all those around her.  She exudes all the good qualities you put in her DNA.

My granddaughter is but one of your precious images in the world, one I happen to love very much.  Yet, there are so many others walking the earth, doing their part and fulfilling your plan for them.  What blessing it is to observe your work in her.

Thank you
for your gift
of life,
Holy One.
Thank you
for making
each one uniquely
in your image.
Thank you
for bring joy
into the world.

Love always, Andrea
