Dear God,

As I began to put away the olive wood nativity set, I looked at the small wooden pieces and thought how it was not just a set of wood figures but rather an amazing story.  As I placed the pieces, one by one, in the box to be put away until this coming November, I reminisced how valuable the story really is and how precious it is to relive every year.

It is amazing how you show us how to place value on items of faith.  You teach us the stories of faith, tuck them away in our minds, hearts and souls and keep them there all year long.  Faith is not seasonal but rather day to day, moment by moment living.  In these we find our relationship with you.  We step inside the stories and dwell there knowing we will meet you.

Holy God,
thank you
for this
quiet, holy moment.
Thank you
for reminding me
of the value
of your story.
Teach me
to live
and dwell
in you.
Spark my faith
to grow,
deepen
and share.
