Dear God,

As retreat time draws near, I am like a lightening bug drawn to the light in the darkness.  I search for the light and when I see it, I can hardly wait to get there.

It has been a couple of years since our last covenant group retreat.  Due to many serious concerns, we had to cancel our retreats and that has left Jan, Bill, Susan and I wanting.  We want, need this time away that challenges our roots to go deeper and deeper.  We are true pilgrims that seek your faith in daily living.  Our retreats are designed to grow our faith, nudge us toward change and transformation and motivate us toward deeper love and service.

As I pack my bag and reflect upon this holy, sacred time coming up, I realize how incredibly blessed I am.

and praise,
my gracious Lord.
Thank you
for spiritual time away.
Thank you
for growing
my faith
and teaching me
to surrender
and trust you
more and more.
