Dear God,
In ways too mysterious for us, you draw us together to those we pray for. For nearly two years I have been praying for Diana and Doris, a woman who works at Kroger who told me her mother was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I began praying for her that day. A year ago I met Kate and Sal on a plane headed east. Both recovering addicts and struggling Christians, we shared together across the aisle until we arrived at our destination. And then there is Ella, a seventh grader a year ago who was shot five times by a student at her school. She represents all victims of mass shootings. I pray for all these daily. I don't know them but we live together in prayer.
Only you
have the power
to bring
strangers together.
Only you
can give us love
for one another.
Only you
can change us
in prayer.
Love, Andrea
