Dear God,

By faith we find courage to change our story, to become a new story, a better story, a healing story, a reconciling story or a holy story.  Someone once said, "There is a story of hope and you are the characters in the story." When our story changes by faith, it becomes a story of hope.

The sign at the Unitarian Church struck a chord with me as I thought about my own story.  When I reflected back several years, I realized every time my story changed for good, it was because faith was part of the story.  Faith gave me strength to change my story from victim to victor.  As I let you more fully into my life, the more my story changed.  As my story changed, my life became a story of transformation.  And what is transformation but hope realized.

Loving God,

the great

story changer.

You help us

find a

better way.

You show us

a new path.

You invite us

to join you

on that path

to hope.
